METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES ran for two seasons on Syfy and featured many episodes based on stories from Metal Hurlant Vol. 1, Metal Hurlant Vol. 2, and Alexandro Jodorowsky's Screaming Planet.
With the upcoming release of Alexandro Jodorowsky's Screaming Planet in a new softcover format and releasing into the book trade as well as comic shops, we wanted to take a look at a few of the stories that appeared on the show from Screaming Planet.
Loyal Khondor - A loyal warrior seeks an elixir to cure his beloved princess from the dreaded "cold disease."
Available in Alexandro Jodorowsky's Screaming Planet

• Several stories have been adapted into the Syfy television series, Metal Hurlant Chronicles.
• Featuring multiple US comic book superstars such as Jerome Opena (Avengers), Ladronn (Cable) , JH Williams III (The Sandman: Overture) and more!

Spotlight: Megalex
Story by Alexandro Jodorowsky, Art by Fred Beltran
On Megalex, the city-planet, the laws of nature are prohibited. The tyrannical order reigns over a renewed population controlled by genetic manipulation. Due to the repeated attacks of the neighboring forest, primitive and impenetrable, the urbanized system in command allowed an 'anomaly,' a clone policeman nearly 10 ft tall, to escape. Guided by Adama, one of the rebels fighting for their freedom, the gentle giant manages to join the camp of the 'objectors' and help them go up against the evil powers of Megalex.
Quick facts about Megalex:
• Includes an afterword by comics journalist Phillipe Peter.
• Artist Fred Beltran uses both hand-drawn and computer-generated illustrations in this series.
• Like The Incal and The Metabarons, Megalex is also set in the same space opera fictional universe known as the "Jodoverse," in which most of Alexandro Jodorowsky-created science fiction comics take place.

KOMA: Journey to Another World
We often show comparisons between the uncolored versions of a page and the final colored page as it appears in the book. KOMA is a bit special as it actually had a black & white only edition released in France many years ago. Below are several composite pages (The text has been made to reflect the English language edition) from that original black and white edition alongside their counterparts from the upcoming release of KOMA that arrives in Comic Shops and Bookstores on May 11/17!
