Alexandre Ristorcelli

Alexandre "Lisandru" Ristorcelli was born in Corsica, France in 1972. After studying fine art in multiple institutions around the country he began a multifaceted career, working in animation while illustrating for web comics, fanzines and indie collectives. In 2003 he published a few pages in L'Écho des Savanes and contributed to animation storyboards (notably the last two seasons of Les mystérieuses cités d'or (The Mysterious Cities of Gold). In 2007, he illustrated and colored Le Foulard rouge, written by Jean-Louis Fonteneau. In the following years he produced Le redoutable escalator for Beaulet, La Trainée jaune de Comicswood, and La Trainée jaune c'est super!, a series that deals with the theme of superheroes with an offbeat humor. From 2014 to 2020 he produced short stories that were published in AAARG! and Freakshow Comics and drew for the publisher Petit à Petit's collectives. In 2021 he started the adaptation of Laurent Genefort's novel Les Chasseurs de sève (Sap Hunters) for Humanoids.
