Philippe Dupuy

Born in Paris in 1960, Phillippe Dupuy published his first comic in 1980 The Father Gaston in Aïe magazine. Much of his work has been produced in collaboration with Charles Berberian with each contributing to the writing and artwork of their comics. But their biggest claim to fame is the Monsieur Jean series, in which they explore the humor of everyday life. Dupuy-Berbérian won the prestigious Angoulême Alph-Art Award for the Best Book of the Year 1999 for Monsieur Jean #4: Let's Be Happy But Not Show it.
