Valérie Villieu has been a home nurse in the Paris region for twenty years and at the same time leads personal and collective photographic projects. The strategy of happiness, work on super 8 films, was the subject of a work published by Filigranes. Little Joséphine is one of the components of a collective work that she initiated around the theme of old age: Old, which was exhibited at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie (Cité de la Santé) in Paris.

Her new work, Deux hivers un été, produced with the Belgian designer Antoine Houcke, and prefaced by Annette Wieviorka, retraces the adolescence of Wally, a young Jew, under the Occupation.
