Born in Argentina in 1982, Julia Cejas grew up in Spain and graduated in Fine Arts in Valencia. She illustrated several children's novels and took part in collective projects such as Feminismes (editions Camacuc). She has won several comic strip competitions, including the first Creajoven prize in 2007 and the Valencia Crea in 2009.
In 2016, she exhibited the illustrations she created based on her experience in Japan, at the Bartleby bookshop in Valencia. With Hanami, she looks back on her six months in Tokyo with humor and sensitivity.
